Im vergangenen Jahr fanden die World Transplant Games, die Meisterschaften für transplantierte Sportlerinnen und Sportler, in Deutschland statt. KiO stellte in Dresden ein Kinder- und Jugendteam, das in zahlreichen Sportarten erfolgreich war.
Dies wollen wir 2026 vom 21. bis 27. Juni bei den European Transplant Games in Arnhem, Niederlande, wiederholen. In unser KiO-Team laden wir alle Interessierten im Alter von 8 bis 17 Jahren ein!
Über die European Transplant Games
In 2026, the Netherlands will be the host country for the European Transplant Games. The municipality of Arnhem will host organ and stem cell transplant recipients and people undergoing dialysis from all over Europe from June 21 to June 27.
During the European Transplant Games, more than a thousand athletes, along with their families, friends, donors, and relatives from almost all European countries, get the chance to emphasize the importance of transplants and sports as a lifestyle. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful country in June 2026.
During the European Transplant Games, more than a thousand athletes – together with their families, friends, donors, and loved ones from nearly every European country – have the opportunity to highlight the importance of transplantation and sport as a way of life.
This takes place over the course of a week featuring fifteen different sports, complemented by moments of reflection and celebration of what it means to have received the ‘Gift of life’.
Programm
The ETG is a multisport event were participants compete in fifteen different sports. The ETG 2026 is a compact event without participants and supporters having to travel far. Sportpark Valkenhuizen is selected as the main venue, complemented by several other sports locations, including Sportcentre Papendal.
